Tyre choice

    Need some new rubber and due to saving for the wedding I don't hav much to spend. So for about £50 there are some nexen n2000 or Kumho Ecsta HM KH31 both on black circles. What should I choose? I used nexens before and was quite impressed.

    Id have the kumho tbf. Nexen are utter fucking wank!...tbf, i dont rate the kumho either! But miles better than nexen.

    Depending on what size you are running, better tyres arnt much more.

    Standard vtr which is 185 55 14. I'm using black circles as the service is good. Feel free to recommend something else

    Nexons are shite, uni royal rainsport 2 is the way too go.

    i just order some of them as a good wet trye at a good price, but i dnt think they do them in that size said above.

    They are a amazing tyre mate, i dare to say they are better in the wet than dry...

    Im running 195 45 15s not sure if they come in a 50 or 55 profile though

    they do come in 50, but in 14 i couldnt find any for this matey.

    yer they are a design wet tyre dude, so should be very good in the wet, which been told they are.

    i order them in 195/45/15 just over 200 quid for 4 which is very good.

    and i have some silverstone type RR for track days these these is 195/50/15 so now have a good selection of tyres ready for track session

    Uni royal are good for the price, also have a good looking pattern too!
    Toyo are over rated like fuck!

    But still, id rather pay that little more and get some pzr or sp!
    Or cheaper alternative, f1!

    been told by a few people that the rainsport 2's are better than the f1, mainly due to the wet weather grip.

    In the wet, id possibly agree.

    But on a stinking hot day, up to temp...id rate the f1 over it...but again the pzr or ps over them again.

    Yer not to bothered with that for me that what the silverstone type RR are for.

    But the price sort of make them better IMO as other are bit more expensive.

    Budget tyres are a false economy, if you could stretch to £10 more a tyre you have better options.

    I got 4x Yokohama tyres fitted for £240ish a few weeks back
    Check out national autocentres website, they were the cheapest for the best brand I could afford at the time
