Top mounts

Im uprating my brakes (Thanks to Mikol

) and this involves changing my struts so i was thinking i would build up a separate strut off the car with my lowering springs.

I'm looking at getting some uprated shocks for the struts and i know i will need some 1.1 spring cups for the springs but does it matter what top mounts i use? Is it worth changing the bearings? or go for uprated ones?

I'm looking at an engine change in the future anyway so if theres better performance ones i could buy now id rather do it now than later =].

Plus anything else i will need also let me know.

All Saxo spring cups and top mounts are exactly the same regardless of year or model

Whilst you've got the suspension off it's certainly worth changing your top mount bearings for good measure, they're not expensive.

Which brakes have you bought? And is yours currently the early 3 stud 1.1 or later 4 stud 1.1?

I will change the bearings when i get a set, wheres best place to go scrappy or somewhere like that?

I have Mikol's old 206 GTI brake conversion which he kept 3 stud using ax gt struts which is the route ive taken.
