hey people , right ive just spoke to eurocarparts for a driveshaft (left) they said its 68+vAT which aint to bad i suppose, but i ask the person there wether its the flat driveshaft or the tapered one but he just said theres only 1 driveshaft for the saxo vts ? but my car is a mk2 with the mk1 engine(single plug) as its the early 2000 plate, but i dont wanna buy the driveshaft and its the wrong one because of the guy not knowing what im on about ? isit true there are 2 types of drive shafts for the vts ? just wondered if anyone can let me know how do i go about getting the right one ?thanks adam

#2take a look at the inside of your hub to see if the hub is tapered or non tapered. important that you get the right one. they obviously havent a clue that there are two types. even some mechanics dont know about the taper1 user thanked this post:

#4I've got exact same engine as you, mk1 engine in a mk2 shell
I just bought a Mk1 VTS tapered (i think) driveshaft and it fitted straight away

how long you had the tapered one fitted ?
But like i said, i can't remember if it is tapered though, i'll have a look tomorrow and let you know
