strong smell of petrol from under drivers wheel arch?

   The other day my car cut out so i got out and could smell petrol cumin from the drivers side wheel. Any one else had this? Its was wet with fuel but not drippin... Help would be good

   I get this, my Engine bay stinks on fuel all the time though lol.
   
   Due to over fueling in my case.
   
   
   All I can say is check your fuel lines mate.
   But for it to be there, very strange... Is it coming from your inlet/injectors and running down?

   i had this problem and my car cut out, my fuel line popped off of the fuel rail on the drivers side, sounds similar. i cable tie'd it so it wouldnt pop off anymore

   Is your car lowered buddy?
   
   When my axle broke, it melted away the black plastic pipe that runs at the top of the arch.
   
   Every time I filled up - it pissed petrol all over the wheel and down the arch.
   
   Water + shit used to get in through the pipe and cut the car out
   
   Replacement tube from a scrap yard = £5.

   I had this issue after putting th ehead back on, in the end I pushed it much harder than before and it clicked into position - ben fine since - I was just not putting enough effort into it. Might have same prob yourself? A tie wrap sounds a bit Heath Robinson to be honest.
