right i got my bumper back from the body shop as they had it 9 weeks and it still was not done..
i need the car on the road asap so i am going to prime it myself then put it on the car for now.
what would be the best primer to use ?
    cheers guys

If you plan on getting a body shop to paint it then none. All primers are cellulose that come in aerosol so will react with either the base coat or the clear coat the body shop put on so will cost you more in the long run. Why not just put the bumper on as it is now un-primered.

You really need to cover the filler with something as filler is hydroscopic and attracts moisture and absorbs it. So cover it in a etch primer such as acid 8 or zink welt through primer just to protect the filler so you don't have any problems when you come to painting it.

u-pol acid 8 or body line acid etch primer will be fine over the filler and stop moisture being sucked in and can be painted over mate.
