Lambda Sensor on Manifold come out

  1. #1
Ok I was driving along and suddenly there was a blow in the exhaust somewhere I stopped to have a look and it was around the lambda sensor on the manifold(standard)

The lambda sensor is now completely come out and taken with it the part of the manifold that the lambda sensor bolts into, so there is now a hole in that part of the manifold which is just below the cat,

Is there anyway of getting this repaired or just buying the pipe under the cat not the whole manifold?

the censor that screws on top, just change the manifold (srap yard)
the other one screws in just after the cat,if its that one new cat.

local motor factors is your best bet, or ebay?

yeah defo, just a few bolts, just make sure you get the correct fitting gasket

I just got a quote from a garage near me called ETS, They said 175 for the new cat fitted and they should b able to put the existing lambda sensor back in.

    Good price?

There is a few on ebay for around £60, will these actually work?

got my new cat 140,fitted it myself and just screwed the old censor back in.
some cats on ebay are not up to spec,so watch out.
