Important! : water in the exhaust

    You do get water coming out of the exhaust, it's what the catalytic converter does, converts unburnt hydrocarbons to carbon dioxide and water.

    I've heard somewhere before that internal combustion engines produce 1lt of liquid for every gallon of fuel burnt.

    Not entirely sure about the cat but combustion of any hydrocarbon will make water as a product. Could also be condensation.
