Hi im a newbie to saxperience but was wondering if anybody knows what might be wrong with my vtr.
Ok, i fitted a new clutch and release bearing to my 98 vtr and reconnected the linkages but can now only select 1st 3rd and 5th. Im wondering if the linkage has been damaged or bent but it looks ok.
The gear selection arm that comes from the box has two lugs on it that the second linkage rod could fit onto and i have tryed it in both positions but still no joy, it feels slightly better with more movement on the top lug.
Why does this arm have two lugs on it and is the top lug the correct position of the two? If i need a new complete linkage, which is the best and cheapest place to get one?
Any help on this would be very much appreciated as this car is my girlfriends transport and she is giving me major grief for breaking her 'Little saxy'!
