I've come across a few, and I believe they are the cheapest of the cheap, so I'd say they are budget tyres.

i didnt realise they still made these, we used to fit them for customers who wanted budget tyres years ago

they are crap tbh, fit them on the front as said above, at the end of the day its much safer to understeer than to loose traction at the rear

the fact most the roads i use on a daily basis are fast roads & twisty roads and i pass a few parks where kids also run out every day lol. Plus i have kids in the car. Dont want to risk it..

I want decent tyres on it so the backend only goes if i want it to... not when it wants to

Are trayal, or any cheap nasty budget tyres arent that bad? if its just for normal OAP style driving your doing? I drove a 1.8t golf in full eco mode with cheap wang lang (sp) tyres on all 4 on various road surfaces and speeds and it was fine...Sure your car is fine?
Obviously, its better not to risk it if your not comfortable as you mentioned..

Bad rubber all round will just reduce grip at each end. If he's got good rubber up front and crap at the back then it can get a bit twitchy, and poor rubber being as it is, it can be very unpredictable, particularly in adverse weather.

At the end of a track day last year I put my road rubber (michelin Eco poo at the time) back on the rear of the car and left my R888's on the front wondering how it would feel. The handling defined the term 'snap oversteer'...

Many factors involved but in theory and is some conditions yes it will. I used to have oem spec Michelins then changed to cheap Maltador and now currently using falkens 912 and cnt tell the difference between any of them, mind you I drive like a granny!
