#2HOW LONG IS APIECE OF STRING!!!!
your asking for two different things
what do you realy require????? -
#3For a decent respray your talking from 3k - 50,000 quid so many variables no one who is half decent will give you a price over the net.

#4I Got It Easy
Im Shrink Wrapping My Whole Car At Work... FOR FREE!! So I Can Have ANY Colour I Want... I Want IT Mainly White Or Creme Though
-
#6If you want Matt black, buy a tin of chalkboard paint from toolstation or wilkinsons, Rub the whole car down with a scotch pad, and roller the paint on..
the paint is touch dry in about 20 mins, and should be fully dry with in a couple of hours..
2 coats should do the job nicely.. and if you damage the paint in any places, just roller some more over the top! that simple
Can do the whole car for around 15 quid, including rollers and stuff
if the chalkboard paint isnt as black as you want (chalkboard is like a really deep dark grey), wilkinsons also sell tins of matt black paint, i used this stuff to paint my pc tower/case with and it looks spot on
-
#7lol...was thinking the same
-
#8did my car in chalkboard paint for £14
two tins of paint (dont even think we used two!) and two rollers, some scotch pads and we had it done in no time
3k minimum is madness for a respray! -
#9depends on what your painting it in and how bad the body work is and if the engine is taken out. like i said so many variables no one in there right mind would give a price yeah 50k mite have been a bit steep but you gets the idea.
-
#10if u have it sprayed in whale semen it might be 50 k
-
#12i want it resprayed in satin black the bodywork is fine and all panels are straight with no rust just the paint is fading and boring and i fancy a color change
-
#14As Gavlaar suggested, vinyl wrap's definitely your best option. It's only about 700-1k for a whole car, and you can just peel it off if you change your mind.
-
#15i got quoted £1500 to do my vtr Audi ice white. and that was for a proper job.
-
#16mine was audi ibis whiteQuote:i got quoted £1500 to do my vtr Audi ice white. and that was for a proper job.
was free though
i still think 3k is ludacris, my bf paints double decker buses and the big trailers for less than 3k, granted its not as detailed but its bigger than a saxo lol -
#173k is nothing for a full body respray if you think of the time it takes to fill then primer wet sand mask up then base coat then clear coat re-flat then polish up as well as the engine bay all door and boot shuts then re-building the car its a hell of a lot of labour. Then you got the price of paint and consumables and booth time and gas.
-
#18Because he wants his saxo that's worth 2k tops painted with gold leaf...
-
#19thats off my uncle as well, he did a paint job on a bmw m3 forgot what color but he charged 5 grand todo it . i know nicole that car look well nice in that color . that what made me think of getting it done to mine
-
#20i know that it is quite expensive but i always hear about people getting there cars resprayed for around 400-1000 pound id be quite happy with the color i have now just its starting to fade
-
#21if i got my car sprayed it be in the same color as it is now .
-
#22bit of a stupid question i heard someone mention you can get your paintwork like blown over as in no need for full respray if your going same color?
-
#23i had my motorbike sprayed in a very nice red for £200, they said it took more effort than spraying a car just used a little less paint
-
#24its all the prep work that goes in obv better prep better the outcome will be
-
#25before u fork out on a respray why not spent some time giving the car a bit of tlc< most fades can be pollished out with a desent set of polishes and colour restorers
-
#26It depends on how much preparation you do yourself. If you filler in the damage your self and scotch pad the whole thing you'll save your self loads in labour. But the respray will still cost 2-3k. I think a respray that is under 1000 is a bit of a dodgy job to me. The respray for my Daimler was about 5k but then again, It's a big car. and that was inside and out!
-
#27suppose ill spend a bit on some polishes and give it a go i usuall get it turtled waxed at local hand car wash once a week and it comes up gleaming just theres so manny little marks on it
-
#28Like any job if you want it done properly it costs you money but saves you money in the long run.
Steve. -
#29suppose im going to go get some decent polishes and waxes and things at end of month and see how all paintwork comes up
-
#30For a saxo I'd budget 1000-1250 for a good glass out panels/trims off etc etc..
