Water Temperature

I recently flushed the water system out and was wondering if this is normal... my temperature gets to the middle of the gauge within 5 minutes and the water level doesnt change. The temperature never goes above the middle so I'm guessing that is good.

How can i check that i dont have an air block within the water system? It has been bleed a few times.

Leave the car to idle until the fan kicks in, if the temperature keeps getting hotter, near to the red, you have a air lock.

You are using coolant+water mix, and not just water correct?

At the moment it is just water because I didn't have any coolant. I will be picking some up tonight. How long does it normally take for the fan to kick in? Just in case that is wrong too.

Do your heaters blow hot air?

I bled mine the other day, and the fan kicked in about half way on the temp gauage, however using just water your going to see problems! as water boils way before coolant does, you want a 50/50 mix of coolant and water

That might be why shes getting hot so quickly... I will sort the coolant out tonight! =]
