Question on rear axle

  1. #1
    Hello

Ok so my GTI axle needs replacing as soon as possible really
    Its a MK1 1998 with ABS

Now.....finding a MK1 GTI axle with ABS seems to be somewhat of a ballache

Will ANY 4 stud disk axle fit (i.e saxo or 106 and/or mk1 or mk2)?
What about the ABS, will it matter if I don't have it?

    Cheers

any saxo 106 axle will fit long as its the vtr or vts but then even the 1.4 and 1.1 can be converted to as for the abs just use ur old trailer arms

Don't even have to change the trailing arms, just change the hubs over

Will it matter if I don't bother with the ABS?

Then your ABS wont work, you will have the ABS warning light on the dash and it will be an MOT fail.
