not making contact ...

   Hi
   
   Its a bit of an intermittent problem - when you open the door, interior light etc should turn on, sometimes it does, but others it doesnt. Its something to do with the cables going through the door because when you push on them, you can get the light to turn on
   
   Has anyone ever fixed this problem or shall i just grin and bear it?

   just have a look at the cables on the button thing, its only one torx screw and one might be loose, worth a go for a 2 min job

   Your switch is probs sticking due to corrosion on the switch contacts give the contacts a rub down with emery cloth mate.

   that sounds more like it, thanks - the beep that it makes when engine is off, lights on and door open is rly wierd so i thought it could be the case
