Most common saxo problems ?

   I had a look for a thread but couldn't find one so i thought i would start one up.
   What's the most common faults with saxo's ?

   where to start....rust....leaking sunroof.......anti roll bar links.....power steering pump and other general electrics.....they are just what ive found!

   rear axle failing
   sunroof leaking (drainage holes blocked)
   rust!
   heater / power steering /rear demister ignition power supply failing
   power steering pump failing
   bad idle (icv idle control valve blocking)
   droplinks
   lower arm bushes
   
   Just got to remember even the newest saxo's are coming towards 10 years old. There old cars that were made cheap to start off with.

   Check for a crunchy/whining gearbox as well.

   The general electrics imo are quite bad.

   idle contol valve im my mind and headgasket but apart from that they are great little cars

    The only common things really are the rear beam and ICV
    
    Rust is hardly common, some people get it yes but its not common
    I have had two saxos and a 106 and never had a rust issue
    
    Gearbox is hardly common, they do go occasionally but thats the case for any car
    
    Clutch is a part which wears over time/use like tyres etc so you can't really say its a common issue
    
    Head Gasket is not common either, failures are usually to do with overheating or constantly pushing the car too hard. It happens but it's not common.

    front seats ,front bolts break away from floor,i just use a small plate as a big washer.
