Boot problem

   I have a problem. My boot out of the blue has just stopped opening. it's like it is jammed. When i crawled through the back to have a look there wasn't anything caught in the catch or that.
   
   Anyone know what this could be and what can be done to fix it?

   You see the black box with the white prong sticking out is that seized up? did on mine and i couldnt open the boot so took it off and use it manually

   you mean the catch bit mate? Its weird cause for ages the boot didn't lock when i locked the car you were still able to open it, Then it started to working again? But then when i went to open it last night the button pushes in half way. if i undo the catch bolts will that let me open the boot from the inside?

   Try get someone to pop boot while your inside car and just see what happens when someone does it, Should work it out from there mate

   on my mums old bmw the black rubber seal had got caught creating a very tight suction and there was no way of opening the boot and it had mechanics at bmw confised for a few months but then they found the problem
