removing inner end of drive shaft?

   am i right in thinking that when im removing my gearbox i can get away with not removing the whole shaft? if so how to i do it? removed everything else just the shafts left thanks

   do you mean the bit that bolts to the engine
   because if you do then i had to remove gear box before i could remove this

   driveshafts have to be removed im afraid mate

   really? have to be removed? it says the inner can be removed without removing the whole lot? gutted oh well shouldnt be too hard! lol
   
   i thought if i removed the ball joint from the bottom of the strut and then pulled it outwards it would be able to move it enough to pop out!

   you may be able to get them out BUT if it was me i wouldnt like to put the gerabox back on while putting the shafts back in

   yeah balljoints out and the shaft slips on no problem but they will need removed if removin the box
