Battery Draining?

   Right bit of help required please people.
   
   I went out started up my car this morning after fitting new alternator, drove fine.. not a problem. Had heater on, Sidelights, stereo. Alternator worked fine.
   
   Got to mates, parked it up. It sat outside for all of 2hours, until some moron decided to crash into it. Which obv set the alarm off. ( i was out at the time) came back 20mins after I went out to start it to move it, had hardly any battery power. Does the alarm really drain this much power? Cause it only goes off for 60secs then mutes and re-arms its self. Or is there another problem

   do a drain test on the battery see if a light is staying on or something as that would drain ur battery over a period of time mate

   Do a charging test of the alternator,to make sure its charging properly 14volts.

   How do i go about doing the drain check?

   you have to use a drain test machine.. they will have them at ur local garage might have to book itin if u havent got one
