PAS switch for track use(?)

  1. #1
Basically planning on wiring in a switch to the new PAS pump im gonna drop in so i can turn it off when i feel like it

Love how it drives without the pump running, can feel alot through the wheel then driving, but parkings a sh*t so it dont wanna remove it all together

Anyone wired in a switch? just wanting to see if its been done

I dont think i have seen this before but dont see a reason why not? Would think if you just wired a switch to the PAS + supply then you could switch on/off, but make sure you get a switch with the right voltage and current rating

The steering will be heavy as hell, i dont think its a good idea.

Switching the PAS off will make it feel as though its broken, which is rediculously heavy, alot harder than normal manual steering. Also because its got high and low pressure in the rack you can turn and halfway through turning the wheel it might suddenly get abit easier or harder, its quite dangerous really! Cant have both, you have to choose!

I run a PAS rack with the ram removed/plumbing plugged up on my 106 Rallye... it seems to work fine.
