well was going to buy a vtr but cant afford it at the moment so deciding to put a 1.3 rallye or a 1.4 xsi engine in my 1.1, needing new driveshafts on the front so going to upgrade to 4 stud for the bigger engine, also wanting wide arch kit the arches stick out 65mm what rear beam would people recomend or how can i make it wider without going to a daft size on the spacers? for the conversion do i need

    1. rear beam been thinkin 306 < is that widest i can get?
    2. vtr/vts/gti drive shafts and front hubs with suspension

    cheers.

You need to stick with a saxo/106 beam. A 306 beam wont fit.

just have a saxo/106 beam with some mental spacers on thats what people usually do i thought?

disc beams are a tiny bit wider than drum beams if it helps

found a set of the arches on ebay they stick out 65mm but on a slant what size spacers would i need ?

Rear axle, new motor and gearbox, driveshafts, "wide arches"(bodykit?) wheels, spacers = more than a half decent vtr would cost.
