alright guys been a while since i posted on this because i stopped doing shit to my car for a while...
i recently bought a air filter from halfrauds as a mate fitted one to his zetec s fiesta and it gave it a pretttyyyyyy nice beastly roar to it...
any ways after mucking around trying to fit it we had no way of getting it on so what we have done is remove the original air filter from the box an fit the air filter on the end of the box going directly towards the air feed pipe...
gives it a nice beastly growl now when i accelerate...
    is this legal??
    cheeers guys!

9 times out of 10 youll pass an mot if you dont have something but it will fail if what you have is faulty.

if you have a worn spare tyre for example you will fail, if you dont have one you will pass so you should be alright

How would that ever be illegal ???

Your supposed to tell your insurance company if you want to pay more as it could effect the performance... so expect the halfrauds filter to cost you about £100 a year.

And if its those open cone ones you will lose power for noise !

And its not illegal as long as its fitted securely & proper

This, open filters just suck hot air from the engine bay into the inlet and usually just reduce power
A cold air feed wont really help that because the filter is still uncovered

Why would it not be legal?
