ICE ( problem with headunit)

    Radio turns on and lights up when ignition is on, it'll play music for about ten seconds then cut out

    Its an alpine radio with ipod lead, never had a problem until fitting an aftermarket airhorn,

    Radio will ocassionally start and work till engine is turned off
    but cd and ipod wont work atall

    Its driving me insane, ive checked the fuse on the radio and thats okay, anyone who can help?

    If your head-unit roughly works for the same amount of time, each time you turn it on. My best bet would be that you may have blown a component or two in the head-unit when installing the airhorn

    cheers, i'm gonna take out the airhorn today and see if i've interfered with the direct connection from headunit to battery, if that doesnt work ill be getting a new headunit i suspect
