long rollpin

   ok so had the saxo for over a week as a fixer upper sort of thing
   
   now theres a fair bit of play in the gear stick so checked the rollpin (or what ever its called) and its in, but sticks out about 10mm each end i hit it in a bit more and it improved things.....
   
   but im guessing its not normal as all the threads on hear seem to say it sits flush so i dont think the rollpin is the correct one or even a pin at all
   
   any ideas ?
   
   im tempted to ream it and stick a nas bolt through it, but ream it just enough that i still have to hit it in and then stick a nut on the end

   Drill it out and put a larger pin in.

   pretty sure i could drift it out rather than drill it

   I had this with my old gearbox so i bashed it out and put a drill through the hole then a nut and bolt, never gave any trouble after that.
