Just heading home from work and i was coming around a round about on the inside lane, a stupid old man decided he was in wrong lane and without warning tried coming straight over into the lane exactly where i was.. trying to avoid having half my car taken off by his big arse volvo i headed nearer to the inside of the round about beeping my horn as a warning i was actually there..

The silly old prick continued so i had no choice but to hit the kerb or loose my car since volvos are built like tanks and my sax wouldnt of been no match for it.

As ive hit the kerb not only have i kerbed the shit out me new team D's but, my tracking is totally off now, and my drivers side front wheel is around just 1inch if that from the back of the arch where as it used to be atleast 2 to 3 inches. i aint got a clue when it comes to cars so im wondering what kind of damage i could of done and what kind of price bracket id be looking at to have this repaired?

The old man continued on his little merry way but fearing i had totally fucked my car i pulled over to inspect the damage, cautiously i drove home at 60mph as i have no idea whats been done and what might be shagged.. ive had a little peak under the car as best i can since she is quite low and cant see any major damages. ive got the old bastards reg so ill be heading down police station later to sort the matter out. but i need my car for work so need it fixed as soon as.

Is it likely to just be tracking? or could i of shagged wishbone/rubbers or what not?

The temptataion was there to just stay put and let him smack me, but ive just spent a fortune getting the sax running to a decent standard again. the gear box is iffy and i have one being delivered just as soon as i clear funds the of course i have the fitting bill because im about as useful as an empty pen when it comes to mechanical side of thinggs.

Didnt really want to end up with the sax being a writeoff after the amount of money spent, im hoping its just the tracking and possibly wishbone, i dont really want to piss more money up the wall as thats all ive done recently.

I wasnt going all to fast, maybe 20 or so as i hit the kerb, it was more of a side impact as the rear wheel got it aswell so im hoping its not a major problem. the car still drives ok although tracking is as pissed as a newt

Seriously though, people who are just dangerous behind the wheel.. mainly old people.. should have there licences removed from them and made to use public transport.

well after 156 quid to have new wish bone fitted/labour etc it turns out ive bent thesub frame aswell. so now i need to try and find money for a replacement.. although. that being said my sax has just decided to start popping out of 2nd gear aswell as a horrid noise..

Im no mechanic but i think its safe to say the gearbox is fucked.

The biggest piss off is i have just spent well over a grand fixing all the small problems and now all this. the car isnt even worth a grand now so i cant even sell it on as it is and make more then a few hundred quid if im lucky..

Bank balance is now completely 0.00, my sax is pretty much dead and ive just pissed over a grand away.

Might be time to get the push bike back out and rely on stupid arse trains.
but then again.. forgot i just spent every last penny on fixing the sax for no good reason at all

i think the box is definately dead - ive had a look at selectors and they seem fine, the box has been making a noise while in gear for the last week or two so guess its finally given up the ghost so to speak.

i first thought it was clutch but the guarage up the road from me said it is likely gear box and 2nd and 4th are the ones to start popping when box is dead. the car will pull and drive if i hold it in 2nd with a little force behind the gear stick, but if i give it more then a little gas she will pop again.

subframe i can live with for a little while, its the box i need replacing or repaired. but im no mechanic so i could get told its dead when infact its not and i wouldnt know the difference.

    Quick edit..

Also if the selector bar was bent would it effect 1st through to atleast 3rd? after that i cant really hear any noise..
You got my old mind wonderign abit now..
