air bag light.....

   how can I get rid of the airbag light on a mk1 vtr??
   
   can I just take a light bulb out?? or unplug the unit under the dash?? help.
   
   came on after omp s.wheel fitted that is...

   have you checked the airbag senor thing under the passanger seat my air bag light was on for about 3 years and then decided to wiggle it and spray WD40 in it and now the light goes off

   basically the car is got an after market steering wheel and buckets, so everything is disconnected(((
   
   any ideas on cheating my way out???

   Disconnect the airbag ecu under the carpet next to the gear stick

   yeah so that didnt work. anymore ideas lads?
   if I take the dials out is it just the case of takin a bulb out or is there more involved.

   could plug in ur original belt clips to the wires under the seats and cable tie them to the bottom of the seats and get a resistor for the airbag light at the wheel? or if thats too much work think it is just a bulb

   tape over the back of where the light shines through
   
   so the airbag light, but behind so you cant see gash tape

   I think theres a new rule about regarding warnings on the MOT,you cant just mask them
   if any are picked up from the ecu or where ever its a fail.

    Is it still a fail if the car has an airbag light on, but no airbag?
