Hi, The oil light is on when my car is idling, if I try to bleed the water system the water pumps out the rad, so ive changed the headgasket after having the head skimmed and pressure tested, and still the same problem :frust: I need help otherwise it will be another car that will sit in the back of my barn forever

Also battery light is on but battery is charging i checked with a multimeter

    Its a 106 1.4 quiksilver

When engine is hot the water system is pressurised (water at atmospheric pressure boils and turns to steam at 100 degrees as we know but pressurised water has ahigher boiling point).
Bleed engine when cold and USE an upturned coke bottle with the bottom cutt off full of water otherwise you will not get the air out. The water level in the coke bottle must be higher than the highest point of the cooling system (ie higher than the rad in our case).

Oil light on at idle means either you have low oil pressure due to worn bottom end or the oil pressure switch is faulty.

Battery light needs a supply from the alternator to turn it OFF, if alternator is not charging or the thin wire from alternator is broken then the light will be on. Expect 13.5v to 14v when charging and 12.5v ish when not charging.
