what VTS engine is it? mk1 vts should plug and play especially if that car has a keypad, but otherwise you'll need an unlocked ECU. also wiring for mk2 into mk1 vtr is a bit of a ghey!.... any info you need let me know as I have just done this for ets2k9

Mk2 into a Mk1 is great fun just make sure you have your wire cutters at the ready.

Mr beef has spent two weeks studying wiring diagrams so should be able to help you out.

The end result is well worth the hassle though.

    Good luck!

i did then engine conversion on mine mate, the wiring was the only problem i had.i have seen a conversion before that looked a right mess where they had just cut the plugs off and used connectors for the wires, please dont go down this route
  17. #17
Mine has connectors blocks as a temporary measure (will be gone soon) but I cant see how else you could do it without cutting wires?
  18. #18
right ok iv brought the engine now! were gonig to start to do it on sunday ill keep u all posted
  19. #19
    Good luck!

I'm still perfecting mine, I'm on the 2nd weekend of trying hopefully it'll be done this friday

Before anyone goes off, ets2k9's car isn't just blocked together, I cut the multiplug off the VTR with plenty of spare wire, and cut the larger plug off the VTs and matched the wires up.... I'm halfway through doing the wires properly now they're all in the right place!, I just didn't want to make permanent connections and then have to undo them if they're wrong!.... the blocks are only to get the wires in the right place! although looking at wiring diagrams for as long as I've been makes you look like this:

  24. #24
    you need the immobilisor unlocked.
or you could get your xsi ecu mapped to run the 16v engine and use the xsi wiring.
