whistle noise when turning, normal?

   Is this normal? if i'm turning a corner, I think usually right, but maybe sometimes left as well, the car makes like a whistling/wind gushing,blowing type noise...is this normal or is something gonna be on the way out?
   
   Reason I thought it might be normal is theres a similar noise if I turn the wheels when not moving, even when the engine is off....although this noise sounds more like when you zip up a zip really fast?(only thing I can liken it to lol)

   Apparently there is a similar noise like that just before your power steering pump dies, I had it but like alll my rattles disappear and new ones come!

   Its recently had a new PAS pump mate and the power steering hasn't cut out at all? I as told that was more of a whining noise?
   
   I asked my mechanic if it was a wheel bearing but he said it would be all the time not just when turning...

   Hmmm. It sounds like a weird noise, I have a horrible grinding/ blowing noise on my front right wheel, it's fine if I and going straight, but as soon as I bare right slightly, it's starts with this noise, and it's minging. I thought it was a wheel bearing... Just waiting for it to fall off!

   It is mate, really strange :/ And thats the thing, I'm trying to find out what it is after reading that thread about the guys ball joint failing, I wouldn't fancy something like that happening at any great speed :/

   It shows the early stages of a bearing.
   
   When you turn a corner it puts weight on the bearing causing it to whine.

    Okay mate thanks for letting me know, dont mean to sound like a noob but how long will it last for and can it do damage if it fails?
    
    The only thing is this is a whistling noise not so much a whine?

    ive got this aswell wen i turn right but mine sounds like tyre screeching even wen doin bout 10mph ???

    Scary how many have this!! Mine is grinding too when u turn to the right, sounded like brake disc so I checked it and found that the disc is catching on something when I turn. Will have to take apart when I get chance. Pics too whe I do it!

    Mine seems to be a bit different, just a very faint whoo noise, my mechanic took it and said its nothing to worry about at the moment if at all, that was a month ago and hasn't got worse so I dunno what it is.
