please help, head problems?????????????

   please take a look and tell me if this is normal,
   
   the black sooty stuff on the head, or is this due to a blocked oil way???????????

   Ive not seen the black sooty stuff before. How does it feel? Gritty? Or just like residue in the oil? Maybe worth a change of oil?
   
   Headgasket 100% the right way up? As if it's upside down it blocks that top oilway so won't want to run it for long like this

   had head off, gasket was fine, problem with such a long build, it puts doubts in ur head, new tappets are in, will soon know.

   Have you cleaned the black stuff off? Does it while off from the head?
