Saxo 1.4 - Idling problem.

  1. #1
When starting the engine rev's up, between 3-4k rpm.
Changed idle control valve, cleaned throttle body and map sensor.
Checked the throttle cable, adjusted, still didn't effect it.

How do i know if the tempt sensor is faulty?
If i disconnect it, should anything happen?

Could spark plugs create her idling high? OR would that just make her idle rough?
The vehicle isn't bouncing up and down the revs, it's staying at the same rev's.

Could i have set the idle control valve wrong?
Turned the ignation on, wait for fuel primer to stop - done that six times.
On the sixth time turned the ignation off, waited for the idle control valve to move - you can hear it. Then started it.

    Help please.

Start it and unplug the temp sensor, if it's faulty nothing will happen. If it's working the Engine will cough for a few seconds.
