BMW leather seats into a 1997 VTR -help-

  1. #1
i can get hold of some bmw leathers for the saxo im buying in a few days, it currently has no rear seats so if they will fit then im thinking of getting new leathers for it.

im fairly confident i can gtet he front in relatively easy by either modding the frame with my engineer mates help, or use the bmw runners. the rears however im unsure on so would like some advice on fitting them.

not 100% sure if they will even fit yet as they are still in my mates BMW but im sure they will be fitted differently to saxo rears

well it sounds obvious, but i would measure how wide they are first

yea i know but i just came out of hospital so i cant do squat for a week ish, im going mad with nothing to do so thought i would look into it now

Very little chance of getting the rears to fit if at all..

Be a much better/easier option to just get your current bench retrimmed to match the fronts.

i cant imagine a saxo being as wide as a bimmer rear bench tbh..... fronts maybe do-able worth a shot! You can always sell em on for profit!

well im getting them pretty cheap so if i can get the back in ill sell them, but would rather the matching set.

and it dont have any rear seats to re trim, it got stripped by last owner so im putting seats back in

    wheres the edit button

anyways gibbo the bmw is the same as in your sig i think, its an m3 look alike in the same colour as that

fronts will go in with modified frames , rears i think would be too big

    hmm, annoying.

how hard would retrimming a set of VTR backs be with the leather on the BMW seats?

Fronts should go in if you adapt the runners accordingly, not sure how close the seats would sit together tho.

Rears wont fit, adapting them wouldnt work.

If I was you I would get the fronts in if you like them and get a 106 gti rear off ebay to go in the back.

What seats are they ie se leathers, sports or vaders?

and how much we talking? as some seats arnt worth a wank dude..

not too sure, its a m3 look alike but i think its a standard 3series, think they are standard leathers aposed to sports but will get pics when i can

getting front and rears for 40 quid so fairly cheap tbh

If theyve got a peice at the front which can be baught faward to pick your thighs up then theyre sports other wise theyre just SE's and £40 is about right, i sold a set while back for £50..
