Ok the story goes..
Lost my keys and the only fob I have for my alarm also the only key I had for my car.
Have now replaced the barrel and think ive managed to get the alarm unwired..
But now my problem is that because ive changed the barrel and the key, the ECU wont accept the transponder in the new key. I understand that you can unlock the ECU your self but you need the car to be running.
As I cant get the car running to take out the immobiliser is there anything else I can do to unlock it?
Is there anyone near me that has an unlocked ECU for a VTS or GTI thats I can check in mine to see if its the alarm thats not letting the car fire or the ECU? im in the Glasgow area in Scotland.
