Iv had my VTR for like 3 weeks now, love it but did notice there was alot of oil around but my mate said it should be fine. Showed my car to my old man tonight and he said its a major oil leak and he wouldnt of touched it!! Great!!
Anyway how bad is this by what you can see and how can it be fixed? Simple fix like change gaskets or a garage job?
    The car works fine.

    Thankyou in advance.

Best way is to clean the engine and see where the oil is coming from.

Does the car use much oil??

    Rocker cover gasket/seal thingy

Easy fix tbh. Might want to get another Rocker Cover and spray it a colour you want to just to clean up the bay a bit

Also, its near your cambelt, i.e. Your cambelt gets soaked in Oil and you can weaken it alot! Therefore it would snap under pressure, so check its not on the cambelt.

Rocker cover gasket by the looks of it

Remove the cover, replace the seal
Then clean the head and see if its leaking from anywhere else

Could be leaking from another place but theres too much oil to see

Id be tempted to change the oil cap too looks like its been from there too.

Oil cap and rocker cover gasket. 15 min job and cost you about £15

No buddy you dont have to drain the oil.

Ifi was you id get soem engine de-greaser and remove the oil from the engine, replace the rocker cover gasket and oil cap. Then it will be easier in the future to spot any other leaks that may occur and easier to diagnose.
