Hey guys!
I have just bought my first car, a saxo 1.1 desire (99 model), I got it at a steal of a price but it does have a few things that need working on.
Be aware I am a car noob and know literally nothing about cars so I don't know all the terminology, so if you don't understand what I mean, just ask and I will try and explain.
1) Door lock pin - The passenger door lock pin is bent (inside the bodywork and not the actual pin that I can see). The door won't lock from the inside, it needs to be done via the key.
I had the door card off (that's what it's called right?) but couldn't get access to the pin. How hard is it to get to the pin and realign it?
2) The 2 left side door speakers need replacing, the front is blown and the rear sounds like it is on it's way. I took a look at them but couldn't work out how to remove them. What tools do I need to rip them off and replace?
(I am going to replace all 4 with something better, what size / wattage should I be looking at?)
3) The car doesn't come with a rev counter (but has a stupidly sized clock). How easy is it to add a rev counter?
Thanks in advance and I am sure I will be asking more questions as I get to grips with my little saxo.
