Important! : Fitting new gearbox etc in portsmouth

    Can anyone suggest anywhere in portsmouth to fit my new gearbox/clutch etc at a reasonable price as my box started dying last week and now its making one hell of a noise so needs to come out asap.

    Ive only got tomorrow off this week and really need the car to travel the 80odd miles to and from work but ive only jsut got in from work and everywhere is closed so cant even get quotes or estimate and what not.

    any help would be much appreciated im in dire need!

    If you have a fair few tools do it yourself, they arnt to bad! i find them easy a couple of hours and id have one changed.

    my tool collection is slim to none, besides.. id probably fuck it all up anyway as patience isnt something ive got alot of. hence why i went through 3 headlights just trying to spray the inserts lol.

    LOL dont attempt doing it then!! i reckon a garage would charge £200 max labour for doing it maybe less as you have the new gearbox and clutch.

    Yeah i was expecting atleast 40 an hour roughly, biggest issue is finding somewhere close as dont think car will make it to far with the noises she making now, and of course, would like it done asap becasue then i can get on the look for a new sub frame
