Blocked exhaust

I a center box had colapsed would this cause over fueling and rough running? My 16v is running rough and its had all sensors replaced but when it get hot there is a horrible burning smell from the exhaust which is making me think the center silencer has burnt out and colapsed due to haveing no cat, could this be? The exhaust has a fair bit of pressure coming out the back and spits back crap out.

if its got alot of pressure coming out then i dought its blocked lol but could have colapsed its a posibility and yer it will make it run abit worse to a certain extent as no back pressure

There seems to be a fair bit of back pressure but its up and down. Its a 16v with a 106 diesel center pipe so its got a box were the 16v cat should be instead so im thinking it could have burnt the baffles out and colapsed because not long ago people were telling i was shooting flames out the exhaust.

it may be full of carbon, was the exhaust new before fitting?

wouldnt be surprised if its colapsed then mate if it shit flames out as that will shatterthe insides of the silencer and that will explain why its running shit most robs

Yeh it was all new, its been on for nearly 6 months. It runs lumpy and now it wont run at all unless you hold the throttle open and it seems to be sucking alot on the air filter also before all the running issues it was bogging down.

How do you mean by collapsed?

Has you car got 2 lambda sensors? If so is the 1st 1 sleeved? 2nd a lot of carbon deposits could be down to it having no CAT & running rich.

The baffles may have burnt up and dropped and sitting in the bottom of the box clogging it up.

Ohh you have baffles, sorry though you had a aftermarket Exhaust.

They'll blow out in small bits, I doubt they'd collapse in a big pile lol.
