Lowered problem

  1. #1
Had the car lowered 40mm for about a month now, however in the last week 2 problems have occured...

1 - passenger front wheel sits close to the inner arch more than the driver side, this causes the wheel to rub on the inner arch liner. This is with 14inch wheels :s

2 - a squeeking noise has started what seems from the passenger wheel aswell only at slow speeds, it is not effected by braking or accelerating only speed.

    Any help appreciated

jack car up and have a look that the spring is located write , did you do it your self , or a garage , also have a look to see if you got the top mount bit write and spring is sat in that correct , i might be that that side is write but its the other side thats wrong and the anti roll bar is not relaxed because one side is higher than the other , first thing id do is check is the springs are sat in there recess cups

looks from the pic that your lower arm is bent, have you hit any kerbs/realy deep potholes since its been lowered? And the other side could be wheel bearing, damaged ball joint rubbers, need a better description tbh on that. Also check the springs like mentioned above

the squeaking could be due to the shock now operating at different ranges as it was before lowering (this is if you didnt change shocks). When i first lowered my vts and kept standard shocks it squeaked for about a week then stopped as the full piston wasnt dry anymore due to road use

edit, alternatively if you have bent your wishbone then the squeaking may be a product of that damage
