noise coming from back of car

    anyone know wats up? my vts mk2 2000 had recently started to make a noise whilst drivin the car has been lowered by previous owner (quite low) it also has 17 inch alloys, i thought maybe its cos the big wheels but im not too sure..... any ideas ? thanx

    the exhaust is blowing and is a twin exit not really good to be honest,, how much wud i be lookin at round about for the rear beam and fitted?

    A refurbished beam from IM Axels will set you back about £300 thats without fitting,

    Its up to you if you have a bash at it yourself or get them to fit aswell, theres always links to there site floating about

    thanx mate, i jus want to make sure its definitely the beam before i buy one, i see sum on ebay for around 120 i think id fit it myself tbh.

    other question will a vtr rear beam fit a vts?

    I dont think so because of the ABS, im sure some people have just done away with the ABS and used the beam,

    Personally from what ive read youd be better getting your beam refurbed that picking one up off ebay as a spare part and 6 months being in the same boat. Its a bit extra layout but if your looking at using the car long term its a worthy investment

    what kind of noises are they? squeeking, bangs, scrubbing?

    yeah mate im getting a squeeking noise and a sound like scrubbing, is it a bad idea using the car whilst its like this?

    look at the back of your car and check for camber, if your wheels are in line then your beam should be ok
