VTS immobiliser wont fit VTR loom?

  1. #1
I have just started a VTS conversion and with the conversion i got,

    Engine
    Ecu (not unlocked)
    Immobilser
    Key
    Pick up ring

Now my problem is the vts immobiliser wont plug into the vtr loom, so how do i get around this? Am i going to have to get the ecu unlocked?

If i start the car without the immobiliser will it lock?

    Car is 3 plug 2002.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

im guessing if you tryed starting it it wouldnt start due to the immobiliser if youve already taken your immobiliser box out it wont lock the ecu as its locked already, i think to get the ecu unlocked would be the easiest option.

So here are the two boxes i have,

Any ideas if there is an adaptor plug to fit onto it?

I take it the car you're putting it in is a 3 plug
What year/plug type is the engine out of?
The control unit on the left looks much earlier and if I'm honest doesn't look like an immobiliser control unit.
Looks more like an alarm or central locking control unit if you ask me

immobilisers are shit anyway just bin it.

The left 1 is the standard alarm box by the looks of it.

im sure there is a cheaper way to do it, get a new car alarm if this one is shit and get the guy whos fitting the new one to remove it free of charge which they should.

But isnt it do do with the Ecu? The Ecu is programmed to the Immobiliser?

The box on the right is the immbolisher box, fit that to the plug your holding in the picture. If you turn the key to the second position and get the key symbol, then your ECU has locked it's self and therefore the only way round it is to get an unlocked ECU, i got mine done for 50 pound.
