just a few price questions ?

I have a few things that need doing to my vtr.

Just wondering what would be a reasonable price to have it all done so i have a figure in mind..... Could someone break it down so i know what each job is looking to cost me (roughly)

Wishbone knocking when I turn left so I need a new Ball joint IIRC.

Wheel bearing is whistling like a boiling tea pot.

When I turn right my brake pads start sqeualing really loud.

And I need an inspection on my gear linkages and what not cause my gear- stick is really loose with a lot of play, (even in gear) with a very slight leak out the gearbox.

Wheel bearing, 20 quid for bearing and then an hours work (between 30-50 quid) to fit by mechanic.

Brake pads cost about 20 quid and another 20-30 to fit by garage if you cant do it yourself. - But you might be talking about a broken caliper which the last time I looked were about 50-60 quid each.

Balljoint you can get for less that 15 quid.

    (all prices taken from eurocarparts)

Total Price exl Labour = 55 (might have to buy a caliber on top of this)

    With labour? = 100 - 130 maybe.

Dont know about the other one sorry :/

With the balljoint you may be better off just getting a whole new wishbone (lower arm) as its far easier to replace the whole thing and not just the ball joint. My brother got a new OE part fitted for £100.

i had a quote of 32 pounds plus VAT to get it and 25 to fit it. However i hear thats expensive tbh. I might just wait till my normal guy is back from holiday. i Think he quotes 60 supplied and fitted.
