saxo westcoast, revs dying intermittently.

   recently aquired my sisters saxo 1.4 8v mk1 westcoast. and it has a "hazy" service history. the car drives quite well, but the revs drop off completely no matter whether you are revving it or not, then they'l pick up again, the car hasnt actually stalled as a result. the car has an induction kit, and manifold, but no furthur mods. im going to do a good service on her, plugs/leads/oil/filter. was just wandering whether theres a common issue that you lot will know about. the cars done 97000 miles. thanks

   Possibly the coil pack??
   If not then possibly fuel pump.

   if it continues to do this after a service, look into coilpack fuel filter and perhaps timing.
