Ok so i got alot done today with the saxo, i went about degreasing the engine near mani and lower part of engine. So i finished went to put all the bolts back in got to the last one and SNAP. I blame the misses as i was talking to her at the time as i heard the word "beer" mentioned as she asked if i wanted some getting from shop.

Its what holds the oil dippo stick to the engine block... I dont actually think its possible for oil to LEAK out of that hole but no idea could be wrong?

I did try to drill it out slightly but i couldnt get angle on it as i need like a L bend drill to get right angle

What shall i do just leave it or get someone with one of those small compressed drills to try and drill it out?

    Steve.
I took the car for a drive about 10mins and i came back checked and it was fine... I dont think the thread goes all the way into the engine its self but as i say could be wrong with that. BUT i suppose it makes sense that the thread doesnt go clean into the engine as that would be a nightmare for leaks snapped bolt or no snapped bolt ?

leave it, it only holds the dipstick bracket as you say. it doesnt go all the way in to the engine, so your safe lol

It will not be tight likely, just drill it a bit and try to an old screw driver in there to get a bit of a purhcase on it. Or do it properly with an easy out. I would try the screwdriver thing first cause i'm cheap.
