Swapped fuel pump and relay, might have found the problem?

I've swapped fuel pump and relay over. Car still doesn't prime. Thing I noticed this morning which seemed unusual is when turned to stage 2 ignition, the orange light with a key on dash (immobiliser?) comes on for a second or so and then disappears.

Would this be my problem? If so, what can I do?

have you pressed the fuel cut of switch under the bonnet

I think that means the pick up ring didn't reconise your key for a second or 2, and i'm 70% sure the standard immbolisher in saxo's prevent the car from turning over, not fuel cut off.

I have, a few times now just to make sure. I really am not sure what else it could be? Checked fuses, swapped relay and fuel pump. Checked reading with volt meter, @5.5v.

As the immobiliser light stays on for a second or so I'm guessing it's preventing from priming? I'm still using original ecu. I'm royaly confused

Just read this after posting. If this is the case, how would I give fuel pump some power manually? Gotta be something I can do to narrow this problem down?
