saxo radiator, overheating light problem

   hello everyone,
   
   just wondering if anyone can help me!
   
   my overheating light keeps coming on when driving short distances, the fan will kick in and also when i turn my car off the fan will stay on for a good 30mins maybe longer.
   
   I have change the thermostate and flushed out my radiator.
   
   The reason i think its my radiator is beacause the pipe at the top leading into the radiator was hot and the one at the bottom was warm but the radiator was cold??
   
   just wondering if anyone can help me find the solution

   could be the temprature sensor in the rad, if not it sounds alot like a air lock as if you changed the thermostat i should think it got an air lock if the bottom hose is warm and the top one is hot.

   Temp sensor if the heaters are hot ad the fan kicks in okay.
