lil leak with pic

   hi guys hopefully someone will be able to help me out with this lil leak.
   Been like this since i got the car and now its just annoying me seeing oil thats leaked every time i lift the bonnet up.
   
   
   
   As you can see from the photo its cooming from the oil cap but its on properly, just wondered what you think is causing this.

   also there usually is more oil than whats show in pic but previously wiped it.

   Quite probably my mates son had the same prob on his vts(same engine)& swapped it with his sisters pug gti oil cap problem solved.If its not that then the cam covers are known to leak as well.

   Yeah its the oil cap, my vts did it, as a temporary seal while i was waiting to get the new one i took the cap off and cleaned the rubber seal on the bottom, then put a slight bit of grease around the seal, put it back on and it was fine until the new one arrived

   could be the seal on the oil cap

   i really wouldnt worry too much get a new cap as and when mines been leaking oil from the rocker cover for months no big deal

    mine does it also and a new cap didnt really sort the problem out, i found if you fit the cap then turn it back slightly it cured the leak
