recommendations for cambelt

   hi ite thinking about changing my cambelt soon and thinking of saving some money by buying the part and then getting the garage to install, just want to know if its worth it and if theres any type of brand which is good. Thanks

   i wouldnt worry too much about brand mate, just get a kit off ebay, when i bought mine i got the cheapest kit available and the belt that came was a goodyear one so obviously reputable, they all go through the same quality control tests anyway. id personally try and get a competent mechanic mate to do it as a garage will charge you quite a bit in labour, thats all the expense really dude. me and my mate did mine and i gave him 20 quid and 20 L&B for helping me haha

   You'll want a 'gates' cambelt kit and a 'first line' waterpump. Been using them for years on all my customers cars and i've never had any problems.
