Important! : Hunting / lack of fuel? help!

  1. #1
    Hi guys,

a few weeks ago my 1.0i saxo started hunting, feels as if its fuel starvation but i cant figure out why. i hadnt done anything to the car differently, it is completely standard apart from my scorpion back box.
    So far i have replaced:
    Air Filter
    Fuel Filter
    Spark Plugs
    Coil Pack
Used Vavoline system cleaner (expensive redex basically)
Cleaned the breather pipes for the air intake etc.

It is very intermittent, it can do it when the engine is freezing cold or roasting hot so no difference there, can do it on tickover or at 70mph cruising, and do it one day and not the next. i cant re-create it because it just chooses when it wants to do it. example: i drove around 20 miles down the motorway today with no problems, in the fast lane doing 70ish and all of a sudden it feels like it wants to die (but doesnt actually die), like starvation, no response from throttle pedal for a good 2 or 3 secs then burps back into life.

Anyone had any similar problems or any ideas? or any cleaners that i could flush through that actually work? the car is up for sale anyway but i hate problems that i cant solve, it really *grinds my gears* lol

nice, wish i could insure sumfin like that lol. my new car im pickin up is a Hyundai Accent 1.3Si, thought it would be something different other than the norm to mod lol and the engine build quality is spot on for the money they cost, its £20 a month cheaper to insure than my 1.0i saxo! coz only OAPs drive them lol
