Project opinions?

   Okay, my little saxo is going to have the head gasket, cam belt etc replaced next week so I'm thinking of what I can do to it cosmetically when it's done.
   
   Here it is in the current state...

   My ideas have changed slightly of what I want to do with the car, I was thinking of possibly going with a black theme but not too sure what I could do?
   It's my first car so something about it makes me want to keep it purely because it's my first car. (Instead of changing cars after the first year)
   
   I'm thinking of keeping the bump strips etc as they are for the black, then for some reason I was thinking of a black bonnet? (Not sure how this would look, I just like the idea).
   I was then going to dewiper, lower (50mm?) and get some black alloys?
   Give the rear lights a black tint.
   Oh, and get rid of the fishing rod and get something better.
   
   I haven't seen many MK1 Flatarch projects so kinda wanted to give it a go.
   
   Any opinions and advice would be brilliant.

   Keep it standard and just save your money for your next car.. Youll only regret what you spend on it in the future.

   Hmmmm, true. I was thinking of keeping this one for as long as I can and get another car after.

   Why though? i made the mistake my self i spent over 5k on my first car and as many lessons i learnt off it i wish i didnt spend the money..
   
   Work out for yourself what you could save over a year or two then look at what cars you could get for that money ie if you saved 3k a quick search brings up these examples.

   ur ideas seem fine to me tbf youwont b spending out to much bar the alloys, but if you found a cheap set of 3 studs n refurbed them ud b onto a wina 1.1!
   
   my mate done the same small subtle mods lower alloys etc looked gd for a 1.1 just no power so was annoying on covoys 2 meets and fcs lol!

    Ahah yeah I'm still in 2 minds of what to do at the moment!
    Still 18 so thinking of going back to college this year and getting some experience in mechanic stuff because it's free still until I'm 19, so that course should give me the tools and the place I need to do stuff to it.
    
    I'm not sure whether to buy a black mk1 bonnet, or get my current bonnet carbon wrapped.
    
    I'm also going to mesh the front grill when I get round to it too.
