#3mine did the same mate, is yours lowered? cos mines lowered i had to take it to a french car specialist and he kind of modified the steering rack so there was more clearance.

#4It certainly is common, basicly if it's the smaller pipe its not very expensive, but the larger one (which seems to be the one that usually goes) is quite pricey, theres a few threads on here covering the subject so do a search if you need some more info

#5yeah quite low. anyway of putting something around the new pipe ie: metal to stop it rubbing or do what you had done???? how much did he charge you?
-
#6he put the steering rack into a vice and bent it slightly, charged me £20 didnt take long either

#7cheers, well its in a garage now see what he says?? hes got a new pipe coming thursday so i left it with him as i dont think i should be driving it. one garage said £170 because i needed a new rack but my mate at another found the leak in the pipe. £20+vat for new pipe and is going to change it for £15 the change it. hope thats all that is wrong.

#8bent the rack???? what an arsehole!!! all thats needed is a mk1 pipe and a slight tweak with a screwdriver on the pipe to give a bit more clearance, job done. Very common amongst lowered Saxos, thats why we sell so many pipes lol

#9as above, common problem. speaking of which i need to check mine and bend it if its not done already
