de-cat and gasket

   just wondering if its possible to re-use the gaskets already on my exhaust (cat section) as il be takin the cat off and putting on a de-cat pipe. wanted to test its working ok asap but my local autofactors wont be taking delivery on the gaskets for a few days.
   mines a 1.4 furio phase 2 but its early moddle so the cat is under the car (bolts onto downpipe and slides over the centre pipe)

   if your standard is still on take your decat and hold it beside the pipe to see what size difference there is. i would say you would probably be okay but not all decats fit straight on.

   More than likely you will be able to re-use it, but as above not all fit straight on, only i thing would advise is to smear some hi temp silicone or exhaust paste around the join especially as you're wanting to re-use the original gasket.
