Provided your rear axle is in good condition I would pay someone to get it lowered. You will never know if your buying a bad rear axle or not.

Getting the rear lowered should be looking at £60-£100 but make sure its done using the correct method..

If your existing beam is good get that lowered as you then know that its done using the correct method (assuming you do your homework and take it to someone recommended) and will be done to whatever height you wish
